Smart process automation for wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants and industrial treatment facilities

The water and wastewater sector is under pressure to innovate: increasing demands for sustainability, safety, efficiency and digitalization call for well-designed automation concepts. AUCOTEAM is your reliable partner—with over 35 years of experience in industrial automation.

We develop modern, stable and cost-effective automation solutions for wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, pumping stations and industrial water treatment facilities. In doing so, we focus not only on efficiency but also on safety-related aspects: from supply and plant safety to data security. In addition, we are continuously involved in research projects, including those focused on the digitalization of municipal infrastructure, to help shape technical developments in the water industry.

Automation & Software in Wastewater Management – Overcoming Industry-Specific Challenges

Many facilities in the water and wastewater sector date back to the 1990s. Outdated technology, growing cost pressures and new regulatory requirements call for future-proof solutions. AUCOTEAM offers exactly that: from the modernization of outdated PLC technology and energy-efficient control strategies to the complete digitalization of entire networks.

Our customers benefit from intelligent visualization, condition monitoring, real-time data and automated fault diagnosis. We rely on established platforms such as WinCC, SIMATIC TIA Portal, OPC UA, and SINAUT for maximum compatibility and future-proofing.

In doing so, we don’t just integrate individual components; we create end-to-end system architectures—tailored to your operating conditions and maintenance processes.

Smart Control Systems for Rural Sewer Networks

In rural areas in particular, wastewater infrastructure is characterized by numerous decentralized pumping stations—often featuring inconsistent technology and high energy consumption. The solution: a compact control unit for pumping stations developed by AUCOTEAM.

The system measures just 35 × 25 × 16 cm, features a touchscreen display and is based on a rugged industrial PC with a real-time operating system. It utilizes machine-to-machine communication, dynamically distributes loads and prevents overflows through predictive blocking and release mechanisms.

Benefits:

  • Energy optimization through adaptive control
  • Data logging and remote monitoring with fail-safe functionality
  • Self-cleaning, pressure sensors and integrated current monitoring
  • Low maintenance, easy retrofitting, high reliability

This allows even the smallest units to be centrally controlled, networked and intelligently operated—with minimal effort and maximum efficiency.

Why AUCOTEAM?

  • Over 35 years of experience in water and wastewater automation
  • Extensive references in municipal and industrial projects
  • Complete solutions from a single source—from planning to service
  • High level of IT and OT expertise for secure data connectivity
  • Future-proof technology through continuous research and development
