ST-SAN for RV sites

Editor: Why do you continue to use AUCOTEAM as your primary supplier?

RWD: The last two years have been very successful for us. We have been happy to take advantage of the short lines of communication within AUCOTEAM GmbH. In particular, constructive measures to improve quality were implemented quickly there. Many suggestions came from the company itself. This close cooperation will open up additional opportunities for us.

Editor: Can you give some examples?

RWD: RWD’s systems are made of stainless steel (1.4301/1.4571). We have experienced extreme price increases for these materials in the past. The temptation to cut corners on materials is strong. However, experience has shown that quality-conscious customers choose quality, even in times of high material prices. Over the past two years, we have therefore seen our primary task as further improving the quality of our products.

Editor: In addition to quality improvements, have there been any new products?

RWD: RWD’s systems are the result of direct market contact. For example, the proven ST-SAN system is now also available with an extended base unit. Regarding charging stations, we are seeing an increasing number of inquiries regarding usage-based billing. RWD offers several solutions specifically for this purpose. I am particularly pleased to be able to present the first practical solutions in the coming weeks for simpler—and above all, cleaner and more odor-free—disposal of contents from toilet cassettes. We worked closely with AUCOTEAM GmbH during the development process.
In this context, we would also like to thank Ms. Scholz from REISEMOBIL INTERNATIONAL, Mr. Zick from ALPEN-CARAVANPARK TENNSEE and, of course, the initiator, Mr. Bertsch, as the operator of the motorhome park in Bad Dürrheim.
In the meantime, the initial ideas have evolved into fully developed products. We were able to test one of the solutions for a season at the Zick family’s new motorhome park in Krün on Lake Tennsee. We will now secure the necessary utility model and patent rights, thereby enabling distribution throughout Europe.

Editor: Thank you very much for the interview

Reise- und Wirtschaftsdienst (RWD) is a company with a long tradition and extensive experience in the mobile leisure sector. Among other things, the company manufactures supply and waste disposal stations for RV parks, including the ST-SAN, for which AUCOTEAM helped develop key components ranging from sheet metal fabrication to interior finishing. Jan Schubert-Mehrens took over the company two years ago. He is continuing the proven collaboration with AUCOTEAM and answering questions from the editorial team of the AUCOTEAM customer magazine.
